In moving to a cloud cadence, Microsoft initially adopted Agile methodologies and then took a journey to DevOps to turn out better software faster.
The key insight for me was that each “Team” is allowed the freedom to go about their business in terms of approach. Scrum, Scrum-ban, XP or Lean Agile all being acceptable.
The only constraint is that they need to sync on a 3 week cadence. This is fundamental to scaling agile and also a key principle of SAFe (scaledagile.com)
